Parallel Realities: Liberstad's Unique Approach to Identity and Independence.

Liberstad, a sovereign city in the emerging realm of the new free world, has over the last years been diligently working to create and establish alternative structures that enable us to function as an independent and parallel society. Our financial framework is a completely separated system that operates exclusively in the realm of the new free world.

One of the biggest challenges, but a very necessary one, is that it is not compatible with the traditional financial system controlled and operated through governments in the unfree world. In order for us to establish new and independent structures it is imperative that they can work freely from any system in the unfree world.

This also include the separation of legal entities that are traditionally registered with governments and subject to the regulations and control mechanisms of governments. Individuals, organisations and companies in Liberstad are not legal entities tied to a national state, but rather free and independent entities that are exclusive for the new free world.

To realize this vision, we have implemented a groundbreaking identification system for individuals, organizations, and businesses, known as Decentralized Identities, abbreviated as DID. In this decentralized system, there is no central authority responsible for ID issuance. Instead, individuals and organizations have the liberty to generate their own IDs using DID software, ensuring a truly autonomous and self-governing identity framework.

Entities within this system operate exclusively within the boundaries of the new free world and are not officially recognized by governments or other institutions in the unfree world. This identification system serves as a robust foundational structure for identification within our newly established realm of freedom.

What are Decentralized Identities?

Decentralized Identity (DID) is a modern approach to identity management that offers individuals and organizations more control and security over their digital identities. At its core, a DID is a globally unique identifier that is not tied to any centralized authority or intermediary, such as a government or a large corporation. Here's an explanation of key aspects of DID:

1. Decentralization: Unlike traditional identity systems where a central authority issues and manages identities (e.g., governments issuing passports or companies managing user accounts), DIDs are created, owned, and controlled by the individual or organization themselves. This decentralization empowers users to have greater control over their personal data and who can access it.

2. Global Uniqueness: DIDs are designed to be globally unique and resolvable on the internet, making them suitable for various digital interactions. Each DID is distinct and can be used to represent an entity across different services and applications.

3. Cryptographic Security: DIDs are often associated with public-key cryptography. This means that they can be cryptographically signed and verified, adding a strong layer of security to identity verification. Users can control access to their DIDs through their private keys.

4. Interoperability: DIDs are designed to be interoperable across different systems and platforms. They can work seamlessly with various blockchain networks, distributed ledgers, and identity verification services.

5. Privacy and Control: DIDs enable users to manage their personal information and consent to the sharing of specific attributes without revealing unnecessary details. This enhances privacy and ensures that users have control over who can access their identity information.

6. Revocability: In the event of a compromised key or lost access to an identity, DIDs allow for key rotation and recovery, ensuring that users can maintain control over their identity even in challenging circumstances.

DIDs are a foundational technology in the emerging field of self-sovereign identity, which promotes the idea that individuals should have full control over their digital identities and be able to use them across various services and platforms without relying on centralized authorities.

Unfree Entities: Barriers to Achieving Freedom

In the unfree world, your identity is legally structured as a "legal entity" created and overseen by your government's jurisdiction. These are commonly referred to as "unfree entities" because they are subject to government control and regulation under their legal systems. This legal entity representation defines you as a citizen tied to a specific state or nation.

In essence, it implies that both you as an individual and any company associated with you are not free from the regulatory grasp of the government. This reality is one of the significant barriers to achieving true freedom within the constraints of the unfree world. The constraints imposed by these entities limit individual and organizational autonomy, making it challenging to break free from the established systems and embrace a more liberated way of life.

This is why a new decentralized identification system is needed. It presents the opportunity to create a "new free world" where individuals and entities can operate autonomously, independent of the rigid structures of traditional legal entities. This innovative approach opens the door to a world where personal freedom and self-sovereignty can be truly realized, unburdened by the constraints of the unfree world's legal systems.
